Far Fillimore Rest Home

Far Fillimore provides accommodation and personal care to up to 26 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 20 people were using the service. Inspectors found significant safety concerns, including that people were not always safeguarded from abuse and risk assessments were not consistently followed. The environment presented hazards, with window restrictors not meeting health and safety guidance and safety checks not undertaken regularly. A malodour was noted in the ground floor bedroom corridor. Quality monitoring systems, including the registered manager's monthly audits, were ineffective at analysing trends and identifying improvements needed.

Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible, in line with service policies and systems.
