This residential care home supports up to 27 older people, some living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 23 people were using the service. Medicines are administered safely and the home has sufficient staff who are safely recruited and trained to recognise and report abuse. Staff support people to have choice and control over their lives.

However, inspectors found that risk assessments were not always current and lacked clear information to monitor identified risks. Care plans required updating and did not always contain sufficient detail. The systems for learning from incidents and identifying areas for improvement were not consistently effective. Staff did not always support people in the least restrictive way as intended, partly because policies and systems did not adequately support this practice. The provider's visiting approach did not align with government guidance, though this was immediately reviewed following the inspection.
