NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
This converted building provides care for up to 15 people, some living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 14 residents were in residence. The home had implemented comprehensive COVID-19 safety measures, with individual risk assessments and care plans in place for each person. Staff wore Personal Protective Equipment in line with government guidelines, with sufficient stocks maintained at multiple PPE stations throughout the building. Clear signage directed visitors on PPE requirements and social distancing practices, and motion-sensored hand sanitiser was available inside. Residents and staff were tested for COVID-19 according to government intervals. The home supported residents to maintain contact with family through various methods, including face-to-face visits facilitated by screens and arranged via a booking system, as well as telephone and video calls.
