Fairmount

Fairmount is a residential care home accommodating up to 38 older people across two floors, specialising in dementia care. At inspection, 32 people were using the service. Residents felt safe and happy, with staff demonstrating strong safeguarding knowledge and effectively monitoring accidents and incidents to identify learning opportunities. Risks were properly identified and managed.

The home maintained adequate staffing levels with safe recruitment procedures in place. Medicines were managed safely and infection prevention measures were effective. Staff received training in dementia care, equalities, and human rights, enabling them to support people's diverse needs. Residents were supported to maintain healthy diets and had access to healthcare professionals when needed. Staff consistently sought consent before providing care or support.
