Esher Manor Care Home

Signature at Esher provides accommodation and personal care for up to 88 older people, with 53 residents at the time of inspection. Some people living there were managing dementia. Residents felt safe because staff knew their needs well and understood how to manage associated risks. Staff were knowledgeable about their responsibilities in protecting people from abuse and harm, and the service had implemented infection control measures aligned with national guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Care plans reflected each person's assessed needs and preferences. Staff were safely recruited and received induction, training and supervision to develop their skills. The service supported residents to make choices about their lives and enabled them to have maximum control while ensuring practices were in their best interests. Both people and relatives were consistently positive about staff and the quality of support provided.
