Ernest Bold Resource Centre

Ernest Bold Resource Centre provides short-term respite care, primarily for people with learning disabilities, though it expanded during the pandemic to support those with physical disabilities as well. At the time of inspection, the home was caring for two people. Staff demonstrated strong community commitment by supporting a depleted local care home during COVID-19, and showed creative approaches to maintaining connections with service users. The team created videos to keep isolated people updated about service changes and encourage them to stay in touch, while also sending individualised wellbeing packages to those not currently using the facility during lockdowns.
