Elmcroft Care Home

Elmcroft Care Home is a residential care home for older and younger people, including those living with dementia or with a physical disability, supporting up to 54 people. Following a period in Special Measures after breaches around person-centred care, safeguarding and governance, the CQC found extensive improvements had been made under new leadership, and the service is now rated Good overall, no longer in Special Measures.

Inspectors found staff were kind, attentive and skilled, with safe staffing levels, good medicines management and thorough investigation of concerns. People and relatives praised the approachable management team, warm atmosphere and improved activities, describing staff as genuinely caring and the home as feeling like family.
