About Elm Lodge

Elm Lodge is a residential care home in East Sussex, providing accommodation and support for older people, including those living with dementia. Further details from the Care Quality Commission's most recent inspection are set out below.

Elm Lodge accommodates up to 27 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 25 people resided there. The home supports residents to maintain meaningful contact with family and friends through various arrangements including designated in-house visits, window visits, and garden visits as weather permits.

For people nearing end of life, family members can visit regularly in bedrooms. Throughout the pandemic, residents have been supported to stay connected via phone and video calls, a practice that continues. Visitor safety measures include temperature checks, appropriate personal protective equipment, and rapid Covid-19 tests for single named visitors, with social distancing maintained where possible.
