Elliott Residential Care Home

Elliott Residential Care Home provides personal care for up to 17 people with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, mental health needs, and dementia. At inspection, all 17 places were occupied. The home has identified and addressed risks to residents, though inspectors noted care records required further development to ensure comprehensive information was included in care plans. Care plans were under review at the time of inspection. Environmental audits and checks were not always effective in identifying improvements, though the registered manager addressed this following the visit. The home has made improvements to support people in taking medicines safely. Staff support residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives, using the least restrictive approaches possible and acting in residents' best interests, with policies and systems in place to support this practice.
