About Eliza House

Eliza House is a residential care home in Enfield, providing personal care to older people, including those living with dementia. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent view of the service.

Eliza House provides personal care to up to 26 older people, including those living with dementia. The home is accommodated across two floors in an adapted building with a lift, featuring communal lounges, a dining area, two courtyards, and ensuite and shared bathroom facilities. At inspection, 24 people were using the service.

Most residents received their medicines safely as prescribed, though shortfalls were identified in medicine management for three people. While staffing levels were adequate to meet people's needs, staff reported feeling under pressure at times with limited opportunity for appropriate interaction with residents. The provider conducted safe recruitment checks, and staff received safeguarding training and understood how to protect people from abuse.

Risks to residents were assessed and safely managed.
