Eachstep Lockwood Care Home, recently reopened after a period of closure, provides personal care for up to 42 people, with only two people living there at the time of the CQC's assessment. The overall rating is Good. Inspectors found kind, attentive staff who knew people well, person-centred care, safe medicines management, and good access to health professionals.

Some governance shortfalls remained, with the CQC noting that environmental safety, infection control and timely safeguarding reporting needed improvement, though action was already underway. The service, previously in special measures, is no longer rated inadequate in any area. Both people living there said they felt well supported and confident to raise concerns.
