Durlston House

Durlston House, in Wiltshire, provides accommodation and personal care for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people. The home was rated Good overall, an improvement following a previous rating of requires improvement. The CQC found the provider had addressed earlier shortfalls, with enough skilled staff, safer management of risks and medicines, and effective governance to identify and act on any issues.

Inspectors found people were treated with respect, dignity and patience, with support plans reflecting their individual needs and communication styles. Relatives described staff as kind and caring, and felt the service was well led, with people supported to take part in activities and access their local community.
