Drovers Call

Drovers Call accommodates up to 60 older people, including those living with dementia, across three floors divided into five units. At inspection, 56 residents were living there, receiving personal and nursing care as a single package. The home's organisational governance and quality assurance systems had not been effective in monitoring and improving the quality and safety of the service. Inspectors found systemic failures with oversight and quality assurance processes, which posed significant risk to people. There were indicators of a closed culture where chemical and physical restraint was used disproportionately.
