Downside House

Downside House accommodates up to 21 people, including those with dementia care needs. At inspection, all 21 beds were occupied. Residents reported feeling happy and safe at the home, with safe recruitment practices in place and sufficient staffing levels to meet their needs.

The home had effective systems to protect people from harm and manage infection control risks appropriately. Clear processes monitored incidents, accidents, near misses, and individual risks, helping to ensure residents received effective care that maintained their safety and wellbeing.
