Appley Cliff - Care Home Physical Disabilities

Appley Cliff provides accommodation and personal care for up to 13 people with physical disabilities. At inspection, 11 people were living at the service in single bedrooms with suitable communal areas, a rear patio and garden. The home had strong infection control procedures in place, including visitor screening and rapid response lateral flow testing before entry. Staff were tested for COVID-19 three times weekly alongside weekly PCR tests, and the manager understood the actions required if positive results occurred. Personal protective equipment was well-stocked and staff used it correctly in accordance with current guidance, with safe disposal procedures observed.
