Dovecote Lodge

Dovecote Lodge provides personal care for up to 28 people in a detached property with lift access to upper floors and several communal living areas. At inspection, the home was supporting 14 residents. The service had dedicated staff overseeing safe admissions and ensuring people received ongoing support in line with national guidance. Staff communicated clearly with residents and relatives about COVID-19 policies, isolation processes, and safety measures, using social media and mobile phones to help maintain family contact.

The home maintained high standards of cleanliness and hygiene with scheduled cleaning protocols and PPE stations positioned throughout the building. Inspectors observed staff using personal protective equipment safely, with sufficient stocks always available. A staff member confirmed, "We always have access to PPE and never run short." All staff were vaccinated against COVID-19, and both residents and staff were tested regularly. Additional sanitisation protocols were in place to regularly disinfect all areas of the building.
