Donnington House Care Home

Donnington House Care Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 28 people, currently supporting 19 residents with health care needs, Parkinson's disease, and age-related frailty. People told inspectors they felt safe, and the home had systems in place to protect them from avoidable harm. Medicines were administered safely, risks were assessed and managed, and infection prevention measures were effective.

However, the provider lacked effective oversight and scrutiny of the service, with leadership and governance failing to identify some concerns. The home worked with other agencies and sought people's views about their care. Residents were complementary about the meals provided and their nutritional needs were being met.
