Dimensions Somerset Newholme

Dimensions Somerset Newholme is a residential care home providing personal care to up to 8 people, specialising in support for people with a learning disability and/or autism. Six people were living there when the CQC inspected. Inspectors found the service was meeting expected standards overall, with improvements since the last inspection now embedded, including stronger governance, medicines management and use of the Mental Capacity Act.

People had choice and control over their lives and received personalised care from staff who knew them well. Staffing levels were sufficient, risks were well managed, and the culture was described as open and person-centred. One relative said things had improved tremendously under the current registered manager.
