Dimensions Somerset Newholme

Dimensions Somerset Newholme is a residential care home providing personal care to up to eight people with learning disabilities and/or autism, many with complex physical healthcare needs. At inspection, seven people were living at the home. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives using the least restrictive approaches possible. However, records relating to capacity assessments were not regularly reviewed. Most staff reported sufficient staffing levels to meet people's needs, though the home relied on a high use of agency staff. Inspectors observed safe staffing levels throughout the inspection, with staff appearing unhurried and responsive to residents. Safe recruitment processes were in place.
