About Dene Court Care Home

Dene Court Care Home is a residential care home in Devon, providing personal and nursing care to people living with dementia. Further detail on the CQC's most recent findings is set out below.

This residential care home provides personal and nursing care to up to 28 people living with dementia in one adapted building. At inspection, 23 people were using the service.

Staff were praised by people, relatives and external professionals for their kindness and person-centred approach. However, inspectors observed that improvements were needed to ensure people were consistently treated with dignity and respect, particularly when supporting people at mealtimes and ensuring privacy during personal care. Many of the staff team were newly recruited and working through their induction and initial training.
