Cumberland Court

Cumberland Court provides residential nursing care to up to 20 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 17 people were using the service.

Care plans and records were not always well completed, and while the service conducted regular audits to monitor quality, identified shortfalls were not consistently addressed quickly. Inspectors found areas needing improvement regarding oral care support for residents and the general tidiness of the home's environment.

Concerns were identified about whether people were consistently supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with questions about how fully staff enabled residents to make decisions about their care.
