Crown House Care Home

Crown House Care Home, in Rutland, provides accommodation and personal care for older people. This assessment followed up on enforcement action taken after the previous inspection, where the provider had been in breach of regulations relating to safe care and treatment and good governance. Inspectors found the provider had made significant, sustained improvements, including to medicines management, fire safety, care planning and oversight, and was no longer in breach of these regulations.

People and relatives spoke very positively about the care, describing staff as attentive, consistent and knowledgeable about individual needs. Feedback highlighted homely surroundings, personalised support and enjoyable activities, alongside good food and communication with families. The home is now rated Good overall.
