The home demonstrates strong infection control practices, with effective measures in place to reduce the risk of infection spread when people enter the premises. Staff safely use and dispose of personal protective equipment in line with national guidance.

The home has shown thoughtful approaches to supporting residents during the pandemic. Staff have overcome communication difficulties created by wearing PPE by using communication cards, ensuring residents can still interact effectively with care staff despite the barriers that masks and other protective equipment create.
