About Coton House

Coton House is a residential care home in Wolverhampton providing accommodation and personal care for older adults, including people living with dementia. The findings below set out what the CQC's most recent inspection found.

Coton House is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for older adults, including people living with dementia. Following an inspection prompted by concerns, the CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall. Inspectors found that medicines were not always managed safely and that governance systems were not effective enough to identify and address these shortfalls.

On the positive side, the CQC found enough suitably trained and recruited staff who were kind, respectful and supported people's independence. People and relatives spoke positively about staff and the manager, felt safe, and said they could raise concerns confidently. The provider must now act on the breaches identified.
