Coppice Lodge

Coppice Lodge provides personal care for up to 64 people aged 65 and over across four separate units in a purpose-built building. At inspection, 56 people were using the service. Staff were trained to meet residents' needs and keep them safe, with systems in place to manage risks. The home maintained high cleanliness standards and infection control measures. Medicines were managed well, and people were supported to take them in their preferred way.

The home offered residents maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff supporting them in the least restrictive way possible. However, some concerns were noted around staffing levels, with people reporting they sometimes had to wait for support. A registered manager led a supportive and collaborative staff team, supported by robust auditing and quality assurance systems to identify areas for improvement. The home maintained close links with the local community and worked in partnership with other agencies to support residents' wellbeing.
