Oxclose Lodge

Oxclose Lodge is a large adapted bungalow providing accommodation and personal care for up to five people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and complex health conditions. At inspection, the service was at full capacity with five residents.

The service demonstrated strong infection prevention practices. Staff had received training in infection control, food hygiene, hand washing and the use of personal protective equipment, with competency checks in place. A colour-coded alert system guided staff responses to COVID-19 cases, with the highest alert level requiring staff to change clothing when entering and leaving the building to prevent cross-contamination. When residents tested positive, the service followed current government guidance to support isolation according to individual needs. Regular COVID-19 testing was implemented for both staff and residents.
