Coniston Court

Coniston Court is a large nursing home in East Sussex, offering care for up to 73 people with nursing needs and those living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding breaches relating to premises and equipment and to governance. Audits had not consistently picked up on maintenance issues, and improvements to the environment had not always been prioritised promptly.

Elsewhere, inspectors found much to reassure families. People received person centred care from attentive, well-supported staff, and medicines were administered safely. Relatives spoke positively about staffing levels and communication, describing consistent care and feeling well informed about their loved ones' wellbeing.
