Clarkson House Residential Care Home

Clarkson House is a residential care home in one adapted building, providing accommodation and personal care for up to 28 people, with 23 people living there at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the service Good overall. Previous breaches around medicines, risk management and governance had been resolved, though inspectors still identified areas needing further attention, including medicines management, record keeping, and staffing levels at night.

People and families spoke warmly of kind, attentive staff who respected choices and promoted independence. Health needs were well supported, with good access to GPs and other services. Some people felt staff were sometimes stretched, and further work was needed on care planning reviews and future planning, but the registered manager and provider were actively driving ongoing improvement.
