Clarence House & The Granary

Clarence House & The Granary provides residential care for up to 21 people with learning disabilities across two houses on the same grounds. Clarence House accommodates up to 12 residents while The Granary accommodates up to nine. At inspection, 16 people were living at the home.

Quality monitoring systems were in place but had failed to identify some shortfalls discovered during the inspection. Analysis and follow-up of specific incidents had not been robustly documented. While staff demonstrated knowledge of how to manage risks related to people's care and support, care plans and risk management plans did not always reflect the knowledge staff possessed and applied in day-to-day practice.
