Sunshine House is a residential respite and short-term care home for children up to 18 years of age with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Located in a residential area of Hull on a single ground floor level, the home accommodates up to nine children, with five using the service during inspection. The premises are easily accessible with ample parking and proximity to public transport.

Children's safety is paramount throughout the service. Staff receive training in safeguarding and maintain systems to detect, monitor and report any concerns. The home has robust recruitment and deployment procedures, with safe practice demonstrated across medication management and infection control.
