Cintre House

The home provides residential care for up to seven people with mental health needs, some of whom may also have learning difficulties. Five people were living there at the time of inspection. Staff and the registered manager understood the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, though improvements were needed in recording decision-making and gaining consent. The service was recommended to review its practices to ensure full compliance with the Act's requirements.

People felt safe at the home and reported that staff were always available when needed. Medicine procedures had recently been reviewed following some administration errors that the registered manager had identified. Overall, the service continued to provide good quality care with no evidence of serious risks or concerns.
