Christ the King, Footherley Hall

This residential care home accommodates up to 50 older people, including those living with dementia and sensory impairments. At inspection, 48 people were using the service. The inspection identified significant concerns about risk management and staff safety practices. Medicines were not consistently managed safely, and safeguarding systems were not always effective in protecting people from abuse. Lessons from incidents were not routinely discussed with staff, which meant opportunities for improvement were missed.

There were also concerns about the consistency of care and support provided. Not all staff had completed required training, leaving people at risk of receiving variable standards of care. People's care needs were not always assessed effectively, which could impact the appropriateness of their care plans and daily support.
