Chestnut House

Chestnut House provides accommodation and personal care for up to six people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or autism. All six spaces were occupied at inspection. The home is designed to enable residents to live as full a life as possible with control, choice and independence. The home deliberately avoids any identifying features, cameras or signage outside, and staff do not wear uniforms when moving around the community.

Residents, relatives and professionals reported that people felt very safe at the home. One relative praised the detailed attention staff gave to their loved one's care. Risk assessments are in place to help staff keep people safe whilst supporting residents to be as independent as possible. Staff provide planned and coordinated person-centred support that is appropriate and inclusive for each individual.
