About Cheriton Care Home

Cheriton Care Home is a residential care home in Buckinghamshire, providing care and support for older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC's most recent findings on the service are set out below.

Cheriton Care Home provides care and support to older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of the CQC assessment, 11 people were living at the service. Inspectors found six breaches of regulations, covering safe care, consent, safeguarding, person-centred care, governance and reporting incidents, and rated the home Requires Improvement overall.

Risks were not always identified, and the service was not consistently meeting Mental Capacity Act principles. Medicines were managed safely, staff were suitably recruited and trained, and the home was clean and homely. People and relatives said care had improved under the new manager, though inspectors found several standards still fell short of what is expected.
