Birchwood

Birchwood is a care home in Buckinghamshire providing care and support for up to 15 people with a learning disability and autistic people. The CQC rated the service Outstanding overall, having previously taken enforcement action against the provider, all previous breaches were found to have been resolved.

Inspectors found kindness and dignity embedded in daily practice, with people supported to lead active, meaningful lives with strong community involvement. Staff were well trained and supported, risks were managed safely, and leadership was open and responsive. People and relatives spoke highly of the staff and management, describing them as attentive, communicative and genuinely caring.
