Charlotte James Nursing Home

Charlotte James Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 28 people, predominantly older adults with complex physical and mental health needs, across two floors. At inspection, 27 people were using the service. The home has effective safeguarding systems in place and employs sufficient staff who are safely recruited. People's risks are assessed and monitored, medicines are managed safely, and infection prevention and control processes are well-established. Staff receive training to meet individual needs and support people to maintain healthy diets.

The service works effectively with other health and social care organisations to provide consistent care. People are supported to access healthcare services in a safe, clean and well-maintained environment. Staff are passionate about treating people well, respecting equality and diversity, and supporting people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible. Lessons are learnt when things go wrong.
