Chance Drive

Chance Drive supports younger adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions across two independent flats and a communal six-bedroom home with adapted facilities. Seven people were receiving support at the time of inspection, with capacity for eight. Residents reported feeling safe and having greater involvement in their care decisions.

The service has made significant improvements to risk assessment and mitigation processes, with staff adopting more person-centred practices. Care plans and risk assessments are now updated through a new digital system still in development. Record keeping around incident management has improved though requires further enhancement. While medicine administration is safe, open dates on medicines are not consistently recorded. Infection control practices align with current government guidance, and the service continues to develop new systems and processes.
