Cartmel Grange

Cartmel Grange provides nursing care for up to 73 people, including those with physical disabilities or living with dementia. The CQC found the service had improved significantly since new leadership took over, moving from requires improvement to good overall. Risk management, care planning and staffing had all strengthened, though inspectors noted some issues with environmental risks and medicines management, which were addressed promptly.

People and relatives spoke warmly of kind, attentive staff who respected dignity and independence. Care was person-centred, with good involvement in decisions and access to activities and community links. The CQC found leadership open and supportive, though some concerns identified during the assessment had not been picked up through the provider's own quality checks, prompting immediate improvements.
