Cairn Home in Sheffield is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care to older adults, including those living with dementia or sensory impairments, for up to 29 people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, identifying breaches around staff training and safe care, alongside gaps in mental capacity considerations, medicines management and monitoring of weight and fluid intake.

Inspectors found a friendly, homely atmosphere with kind, respectful staff who knew people well. Care plans reflected individual preferences and people were supported to stay active and independent. Feedback from residents and relatives was largely positive, though some noted staffing changes and difficulty contacting the home by phone.
