About Burleigh House

Burleigh House is a residential care home in Hertfordshire, providing accommodation for older people, including those living with dementia. Further details from the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Burleigh House accommodates up to 44 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 41 residents were living there. People and their relatives felt safe and praised staff for being kind and providing good care.

Staff expressed confidence in the quality of support offered, and visiting professionals gave positive feedback about the home.

Staff interact pleasantly with residents and offer them choices throughout their day. However, inspectors noted that some residents were not always appropriately dressed for the weather, such as lacking socks, suitable footwear, or wearing short sleeves when conditions didn't warrant this. It remained unclear whether these choices reflected residents' preferences or indicated gaps in support.
