Burger Court

Burger Court is a residential care home providing personal care and accommodation for up to 17 people, including younger and older adults with mental health needs and people with a learning disability. Fifteen people were living there at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the service as Requires Improvement overall, finding breaches around safe care and treatment and good governance, with risks not always assessed properly and medicines not always managed safely.

Inspectors found people generally felt safe, though this was sometimes affected by other residents' behaviour. Some people felt involved in their care planning, others less so, and some felt raising concerns brought slow action. Staff and the new manager were praised for kindness and supporting people's independence.
