Broomhill Care Centre

This residential care home supports up to 16 people living with dementia and complex mental health needs in a purpose-built facility across three floors. The home features accessible bedrooms on the first and second floors served by a lift, a secure garden, and access to public facilities. At the time of inspection, 10 people were being cared for at the service.

Inspectors identified that improvements were needed in infection prevention and control practices, particularly regarding the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment by staff and the management of COVID-19 protocols. Following the inspection, the home reviewed its PPE procedures and cleaning practices to ensure compliance with best practice guidelines and maintain appropriate standards of hygiene across the service.
