Brookfield provides accommodation and personal care for up to 31 older people. At the time of inspection, 19 people were living at the home. Staff consistently followed infection prevention and control procedures, wearing correct PPE and receiving appropriate training. The home implemented extra cleaning schedules for high-touch points and maintained a clean, hygienic environment with hand sanitizers and wipes accessible throughout. A dedicated COVID-19 infection control lead ensured all procedures and policies were followed effectively.

Staffing levels were well managed, with a consistent team supporting residents and no reliance on agency staff. All staff and residents participated in a robust COVID-19 testing regime with immediate identification of symptomatic or positive cases. The provider prioritized maintaining contact between residents and their relatives through regular phone and video calls, and created a safe indoor space for dedicated visits. Information about COVID-19 procedures and arrangements was effectively communicated to the registered manager and staff team.
