About Victoria House

Victoria House is a residential care home in Warrington, providing personal care for older people aged 65 and over. The findings below set out what CQC observed during its most recent inspection.

Victoria House provides personal care for up to 30 people aged 65 and over, with 18 residents at the time of inspection. People spoke positively about living there and were complimentary about the care staff. Care and support was tailored to each person's individual needs and preferences, with people and their relatives fully involved in developing and updating their planned care.

Staffing levels were sufficient to meet people's needs and were being reviewed with plans to increase. Appropriate recruitment checks ensured staff suitability.

The service supported people to take medicines safely and had systems in place to identify and manage risks, though risk assessments could benefit from further development. Staff understood how to safeguard people from abuse and maintained care plans for residents.
