Brookfield Residential Home

This assessment followed earlier breaches around governance and premises, and the CQC found the provider had made the improvements needed. Staff understood and managed risks well, medicines were audited regularly, and equipment and facilities met people's needs, though maintenance was not always kept up, with risks mitigated in the meantime.

Inspectors found people felt safe and well cared for, with kind, attentive staff who knew individuals' needs and preferences. Relatives felt listened to when they raised concerns, and staff felt supported and confident to speak up. Some improvement was still needed around medicines storage and involving people in changes, which the provider was addressing.

The home is now rated Good overall.
