About Bright Meadows

Bright Meadows is a nursing home in Bolton, providing care across several units for people with a range of needs, including dementia care. Details of its most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Bright Meadows is a purpose-built care home in a single building, providing residential and nursing care, including for people living with dementia, across five units for up to 121 people. The CQC rated the home Good overall, an improvement on its previous requires improvement rating. Inspectors found staff caring, attentive and well known to residents, with good communication and unrestricted visiting.

However, the home remained in breach of regulations around medicines management, with issues found in stock control, record keeping and administration. Risk records were sometimes contradictory and monitoring of care outcomes was inconsistent. The provider took action during the assessment, and governance, staffing and leadership were otherwise found to be effective.
