Strathmore Nursing Home

Strathmore Nursing Home provides personal care for older people and those living with dementia, accommodating up to 32 people across three floors in one adapted building. At the time of inspection, 28 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified several areas requiring improvement. Medicine management systems were not consistently safe, and monitoring systems designed to oversee the service's running were not always followed promptly. Environmental risks were not adequately identified or mitigated, and people's personal information was not always stored securely. Staff competency systems were also not reliably in place, with recommendations made regarding staff management and the protection of people's wellbeing.
