Bridgewood Mews

Bridgewood Mews is a purpose-built home providing nursing care for up to 22 younger adults with complex physical and mental health needs. At inspection, 20 people were using the service. The home demonstrated strong infection control practices, maintaining current government guidelines through comprehensive visitor checks on arrival and an up-to-date infection control policy. During the outbreak occurring at the time of inspection, the home limited indoor visitors to essential caregivers while offering garden visits as an alternative, and assigned dedicated staff to each floor to reduce cross-contamination risks. Regular observation checks were recorded in areas where people could not socially distance, and increased touchpoint cleaning was undertaken throughout the home.
