Briardene Care Home

Briardene Care Home provides accommodation and specialist care for up to 34 people with complex dementia-related needs across two purpose-built sites. At the time of inspection, 33 people were using the service.

The home had strong infection prevention and control measures in place. An infection prevention and control lead shared best practice with staff, who received appropriate training. Visitor checks included temperature readings, COVID-19 test results and vaccination status. The environment was kept clean with frequent disinfection of high-touch surfaces like handrails. Staff wore PPE correctly and clear signage throughout the home reinforced proper handwashing and protective equipment use.
