Brentwood Care Centre

Brentwood Care Centre provides accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 112 older people, including those living with dementia, across a home arranged over three floors. Following the previous inspection, which found breaches around safe care and governance, the CQC found the provider had made sufficient progress and was no longer in breach of regulations, with safety systems, safeguarding practice and infection control improved.

Inspectors found some inconsistencies remained, including gaps in medicines practice for specialist administration and care records not always aligned. People and relatives were not consistently involved in care planning or feedback processes. Despite this, people described staff as kind and attentive, leaders as approachable, and the home overall as warm and well run, supporting the Good rating.
