Brantwood Hall Care Home

Brantwood Hall Care Home accommodates up to 29 older people across three floors, with residents having their own rooms and access to two lounges on the middle floor. At the time of inspection, 24 people were living there. The home maintained high standards of cleanliness with additional deep cleaning in place, including regular sanitisation of high touch points in communal areas such as the dining room. Staff demonstrated strong knowledge of infection prevention and control measures, including recognising signs and symptoms of illness and understanding appropriate safety protocols.

The home was in the process of creating a designated visiting space to enable safe contact between residents and their families. Where an infection prevention control specialist had made recommendations, the provider implemented these promptly. Overall, inspectors found the home to be clean and tidy with staff showing commitment to maintaining a safe environment for residents.
